This material is PLA (Polylactic Acid). As mentioned in the product descriptions, PLA is a compostable and biodegradable plastic produced from renewable sources such as cornstarch, sugarcane, beets, or potatoes. PLA degrades in the environment within 6 months to 2 years.
This plastic has mechanical properties such as high modulus of elasticity, rigidity, transparency, thermoplastic behavior, biocompatibility and good moldability.
